Rev. Osborne Etienne was born on the Caribbean island of Dominica. At the age of 18 he responded to the call to ministry and migrated to Antigua. Rev. Etienne was ordained to the Pastoral Ministry on June 30, 1995. After serving at the Villa Baptist church in various capacities, he traveled to St.Thomas U.S.V.I. to attend seminary. His academic preparation includes Seminary Studies (Diploma in Theology from North American School of Theology). He earned two Ministerial degrees (Bachelor of Religious Studies and a Bachelor in Christian Counseling from The U.S.V.I. Bible Seminary. Rev. Etienne served as Assistant Pastor at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in St. Thomas U.S.V.I. He then traveled to Boston, MA in 1995 and then in 1998 he became the Senior Pastor of Bethel Abundant Life Ministries, formerly known as Dorchester Wesleyan Church. Rev. Etienne is zealous about the things of God and has a passion for people and the community. In July of 2020 he was conferred a Doctoral Degree in Divinity and a Humanitarian Social Service Award from Heart Bible Institute. Rev. Etienne is married and has three beautiful daughters. He and his family are totally committed to the work at Bethel Abundant Life Ministries. Come let us worship the Lord together, let us bow before the Lord God our maker.
Rev. Desiree Etienne, co-pastor at Bethel Abundant Life Ministries for about 23 years. Pastor Desiree is originally from Antigua, WI. She migrated to the United States in 1994. She is married to Rev Osborne Etienne and they have been married for 25 years. They have three daughters. Pastor Desiree earned her undergraduate degree from Eastern Nazarene College and her MBA from University of Phoenix. She is currently enrolled at Umass Boston in a Rehabilitation Counseling Program where she is pursuing a Master’s Degree. Pastor Desiree is a real estate agent and she has served the Greater Boston Community buying and selling homes for over 18 years. She has conducted several free housing workshops in the Boston community. Educating and serving the needs of the people is very important to her. She has dedicated her life to helping others she has volunteer her time with several organizations such as: Meal on Wheels, Cradle to Crayons, Interfaith Social Services and Celtics Stay in School Event with Boston Public Schools. In addition, she is a Board Member for the Town of Randolph-Council on Aging and a member of The NAACP Brockton Division. In September of 2019 she was conferred a Doctoral Degree in Divinity and a Humanitarian Social Service Award from Heart Bible Institute. She loves the Lord and enjoys helping other people! Service is a great passion of hers. Pastor Desiree leads a support group for young women of color: Bethel’s Hope for a New Day and she is a certified mental health first aider.
